Thomas McMahon Superintendent Received Garden State Fellow Scholarship

Known for his excellent teaching skills, Thomas McMahon Superintendent is currently residing in Toms River, New Jersey with his wife and two daughters. He is a Business Administrator at Barnegat Township School District and is acknowledged for his in-depth knowledge. He has held several administrative positions throughout his career and worked with many recognized educational institutions. He was the youngest Assistant Commissioner of Education in Charge of Finance in the state of New Jersey, and made immense contributions towards the education sector of the state. He played an important role in the transition of K-8 to 6-8 school building and instructed both old and new staff members on various instructional techniques.

While working with the Plumsted Township School District, Thomas McMahon Superintendent helped in developing a $850, 000 business partnership program, and also put in efforts to create a professional development network with the college of New Jersey. Aside from that, he also served as an Executive Director of THE BARNEGAT Educational Foundation and helped raise over $50,000 yearly for local college scholarships. He also helped in raising $50, 000 for various athletic programs. He is actively involved in many welfare practices and HAS BEEN A prestigious member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Retarded Citizens, Ocean County. As the chairman of Watchful Shepherd Program, Thomas McMahon Superintendent strives to protect children from all types of abuses, and raises voice against family violence. HE ALSO IS CURRENTLY A BOARD OF TRUSTEE MEMBER AT COMMUNITY MEDICAL CENTER.

He has received his education from some of most prestigious education institutes of the state. He enrolled in the Monmouth University, New Jersey for his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Political Science and then attended the Jersey City State college to pursue his Masters degree in Educational Administration & Supervision. For his doctorate degree, Thomas McMahon Superintendent went to the Rutgers University – an institute that is committed to advanced learning and contributes to the vitality of New Jersey state by offering quality education. He was among the top twenty five graduate students in the state and therefore was awarded with full scholarship as Garden State Fellow.
