Willingboro School District aims at providing strong education foundation and preparing students to achieve social and academic excellence. The services include nursing support, school registration and child study team evaluation. Willingboro Special Education provides support and instruction through an array of programs, such as Pre School Disabled Program , Pull Out Resource, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Counseling, Speech and Language, Emotionally Disturbed Program, and Adapted Physical Education. The Willingboro Public Schools has also started a Twilight Program to provide a structured and safe environment that meets each student’s needs. The program is designed to modify their behavior. The teachers utilize various techniques such as peer mediated instruction, direct instruction, collaborative learning, strategy instruction, and small interactive groups to reach all learning styles and levels. The counselors, principals and teachers work together to modify the student’s behavior and offer transition back to regular day program.
Thomas McMahon Superintendent has worked with many leading educational institutions throughout his career, such as Toms River Regional School District, Plumsted Township School District, Barnegat Township School District, Willingboro School District and West Essex Regional School District. He was a high school salutatorian and received Freed Foundation scholarships, including Garden State Fellowship and George Link Business Scholarship. Thomas McMahon Superintendent enrolled in the Jersey City State college for his post-graduation degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, and attended Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey for his doctorate. Aside from that, he has earned over eight New Jersey Department of Education certificates.
