Thomas McMahon Superintendent Has Served As Adjunct Professor

Thomas McMahon Superintendent is a highly qualified individual who has attended premier educational institutes for his studies, such as Monmouth University, Rutgers University and Jersey City State College. He was a salutatorian at high school and was inducted into five national honor societies including Leadership, Political Science and Business while in college. He graduated with 3.91 grade point average out of 4 and received the summa cum laude honors. He was employed full time while studying for his Masters and Doctoral degrees. Moreover, he was also the member of the student government association. After graduation, Thomas entered the business field and started coaching basketball teams voluntarily. Later on, he enrolled in Jersey City State College and obtained his Masters of Arts degree, with 4.0 cumulative average while working full time. He also holds a doctorate degree in Administration & Supervision from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Thomas McMahon Superintendent took on the responsibility of finding new land to build a middle school while at the Plumsted School District, and assumed the position of Business Administrator once the land was acquired. The 9 million dollar school building was completed within budget and on time. He also developed new curriculum for grade 9-12, started technology initiative and trained the staff. Aside from that, Thomas also helped in creating business partnerships to reduce the cost of the new construction. Later in his career, he became the Superintendent of schools in three districts. He oversaw the training of more than 200 staff members and incorporated technology into curriculum.

While working as the Executive Director of Educational Foundation/Sports Booster Club, Thomas McMahon Superintendent helped in raising more than $50,000 yearly for local college scholarships, in addition to $50 000 for a variety of athletic programs. Different administrative positions that he has held throughout his career are Assistant Commissioner of Education (State of New Jersey), Superintendent of Schools (West Essex Regional School District & Willingboro School District), and Business Administrator (Barnegat Township School District). As a school business administrator at the Plumsted Township School District, he helped in developing a business partnership program worth $850, 000 and created 4.5 million dollars professional development network with the New Jersey College.
