Thomas McMahon Superintendent Raised Money For Local College Scholarships

Thomas McMahon Superintendent is a friendly and kind hearted person who makes diligent efforts for the benefit of his society and is associated with many charitable organizations. He serves the Watchful Shepherd Program as its chairman and strives hard to prevent the problem of child abuse in the country. As the member of Board of Directors at the Association of Retarded Citizens (ARC), Ocean County, Thomas aims at helping people who are suffering from development and intellectual disabilities. This organization offers employment opportunities, transportation and job training to the persons with developmental disabilities, improving their self-esteem and self efficiency. It also provides various housing options as per the desires and needs of individuals, such as supportive living, group homes and supervised apartments. Through its recreational programs, the organization allows individuals to take part in various recreational activities while encouraging friendship, skill development and health & fitness.

Thomas McMahon Superintendent also served the Board of Trustees at Community Medical Center. In recognition of his commitment and dedication towards the society, he was honored with J.C Penney Golden Rule Award in 1998. Aside from community service, Thomas is also acknowledged for significant role he played in the FIELD OF EDUCATION IN New Jerse.. He attended Monmouth University WHERE HE RECEIVED HIS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Political Science, and earned AN Educational Doctorate from Rutgers University with 4.0 cumulative average.

He won the Sallie Mae First Year Teacher’s Award as one of the best top 100 new teachers in the country, and was the original creator of a professional development network worth 4.5 million dollars with FOR the college of New Jersey. While working as the Executive Director of Educational Foundation/ Sports Booster Club, Thomas McMahon Superintendent raised money for many local college scholarships as well as athletic programs. From December 1998 to April 2000, he worked with Toms River Regional School District where he opened many technology centers across the district and successfully drafted new incentive aid bill for the New Jersey School Districts. Thomas McMahon Superintendent also served NJA Middle Level Educators Executive Committee as secretary and was the member of State Curriculum Committee (Vocational).
